  • Overview

    Mansfield Orthopaedics at Copley Hospital, a leading provider of orthopedic services, is currently seeking an experienced full-time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work in our practice. The Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) will provide medical and surgical assistance to the orthopedic service in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients in an inpatient and outpatient surgical and clinical setting. The PA/NP will provider first assistance in the operating room with orthopedic surgeons. The PA/NP will have a direct reporting responsibility to multiple orthopaedic surgeons however will also manage their own schedule in a clinic atmosphere. Work schedule is only 4 days a week and includes rotating weekday and weekend call schedule of 1:6.  Must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work very well within a team setting.

    Qualifications

    •           Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistance program approved by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or graduate of an acceredited Nurse Practitioner program
    •          Physician Assistant Degree or Master's in Nursing
    •           Licensure in Vermont as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
    •           DEA license
    •           CPR/BLS certification
    •           At least 2-3 years of surgical and clinical orthopaedic experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
