Overview

High energy, engaging individual to join our team. Using excellent communication skills, the Hospital Entrance Greeter will screen all visitors, patients, vendors and public entering the Hospital. The Screener will identify patients, log all visitors, provide masks, ask screening questions and take the temperature (forehead) of anyone entering. The Screener will provide directions and information regarding Hospital services. 

Responsibilities

  • Engage all patients, employees and visitors as they enter the building to ask the specified screening questions aligned with the CDC Guidelines and Infection prevention guidance.
  • Properly takes the temperature of those entering our facility.
  • Provides first line decision making with regard to protocols related to  patients, employees and visitors. Escalates issues to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Directs patients, their representatives and visitors in a friendly manner to all our facilities.
  • Provides proper mask to those entering based on symptoms or status of patient, visitor, or employee in alignment with CDC Guidelines and Infection prevention guidance.
  • Guide patients through all steps of screening process to provide and needed education regarding rationale for screening guidelines.
  • Directs employees to leave our facility if they are symptomatic; directing them to contact their provider for next steps.
  • At all times, wears appropriate PPE for their role at the entrance.
  • Assists in cleaning of wheelchairs at assigned entrance.
  • Assists in transporting patients to appointments if necessary and able based on staffing; contacts others for support if needed.
  • Maintain daily awareness of Screener Guidelines and Visitor Policies to remain up-to-date on changes that may have occurred.
  • Collaborates  in support of patient and family needs.

Qualifications

1-3 Years of Customer Service experience preferred

Must be able to effectively communicate in person and over the telephone.

Must be customer-service oriented, and approachable.

Must be courteous and cooperative and be able to handle sensitive situations.
