Copley Hospital is seeking an RN or LPN to join our team as an Employee Health & Wellness Nurse. This role can be part-time or full-time.

 

The Employee Health & Wellness Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct and indirect nursing care for Copley employees, contract employees and non-employee groups, with particular emphasis in the area of occupational and community health. The Employee Health & Wellness Nurse utilizes established protocols and current standards of care to meet the wide variety of health care needs of the Copley Hospital employee population. They identify work related risks and hazards in a company environment, assess health statuses, develop programs for wellness, promote good overall health and well-being, and more. 

Responsibilities

Employee Health:

  • Coordinates required follow-up and education if necessary for Post Exposure or Employee Injury and ensures confidentiality.
  • Contributes to annual review of health benefits.
  • Develops and implements wellness initiatives based on high usage medical insurance rates.
  • Develop and provide health education via health screenings, new employee orientation, and periodic classes and workshops.
  • Educates employees regarding importance of healthy lifestyle.
  • Promotes good health and disease prevention strategies using evidence based practice.
  • Provide immunizations when needed.
  • Analyze and assess wellness program for participation and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a resource for employees, managers, and senior leadership regarding employee health concerns and wellness topics/issues.
  • Provide oversight of unlicensed and unlicensed personnel in any assigned or delegated tasks.

Community Wellness:

  • Promotes good health and disease prevention strategies
  • Educates community members regarding importance of healthy lifestyle.
  • Assists community members and businesses in development of wellness goals and implementation of action plans
  • Serve as a community resource regarding health and wellness issues/topics.
  • Provide immunizations for community members and local businesses
  • Perform health assessments, health screenings, and education to local businesses focusing on employee wellness. 

Qualifications

Education Required:

Associate Degree in Nursing

Education Desired:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience Required:

2+ years of related healthcare experience.

Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite 

 

Experience Desired:

Occupational Health Nursing

Current Vermont RN or LPN experience in community or work site health programs.

License and Certification Requirements:

Current Vermont licensure in good standing with no restrictions or stipulations.

License and Certification Desired:

Certified Personal Trainer
Certified Diabetes Educator
Certified Wellness Coach, Massage Therapy, Yoga Instructor, Zumba Instructor
