Scheduler/Clinic Coordinator - Rehabilitation Services

Community Hospital Rehabilitation Department looking for a Clinic Coordinator. Copley Hospital is a rural community hospital with thriving rehabilitation department with multiple clinics. We are looking for a talented individual to work as the Clinic Coordinator primarily for one of our satellite clinics. This full time position would be responsible for managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and maintaining supplies and the environment of care for the clinic as well as performing other clerical tasks for the department as a whole. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a variety of computer systems, have excellent organizational and time management skills and have a track record of excellent customer service. • Manage the clinic and departmental clinical schedules focusing both on the needs of patients and clinic productivity. 
• Call patients to schedule initial evaluations based on referrals received.    
• Interact with patients as they check-in for their appointments and schedule follow-up visits.  
• Receive payments from patients, provides receipts and handles cash flow appropriately including daily cash box reconciliation process.
• Interact with referring providers offices. 
• Transport supplies, documents and copayments between satellite clinic and main site.
• Ensure appropriate inventory of supplies for the clinic.
• Maintain patient medical records in a confidential and organized manner.  
• Help maintain patient waiting and reception areas clean, attractive and free of safety hazards.
• Perform laundry services including washing, drying and folding this clinics linen and towels.

Education Required:

High School degree or equivalent.

Education Desired

Computer and or business courses beyond the high school level.

Experience Required:

Experience in front line customer service.

Experience Desired:

Experience working in a customer service role including both direct and electronic communication.

Experience using scheduling software.  Multiple line telephone customer support experience. Health care/Technician experience supporting clinical work flow, or LNA experience.

Skill Required:

Excellent customer service, communication, computer, and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team supporting multiple professionals and other co-workers while following established department procedures, hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
