Overview

Copley Hospital is looking for a dedicated Cook to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and Copley’s standards. Responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, make adjustments based on patient/staff requests and assisting other cooks as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

 

To be successful you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our patient/staff expectations. Ultimately, he/she should be able to multitask without compromising on quality.

 

Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Temporary needs. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards as outlined in the Servsafe. 
  • Execute opening and closing procedures
  • Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
  • Monitor station inventory levels
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
  • Accommodate guests/patients’ special requests
  • Assist chef or cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain established policies, procedures, objectives.
  • Recognizes opportunities for projects which will benefit your department.
  • Occasionally serve food
  • Assumes special projects as directed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • High school education or GED
