Overview

Copley Hospital is seeking a skilled Facilities Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Facilities Administrative Assistant will report to the Director of Facilities and will coordinate efforts, programs, and activities surrounding safety and security issues. They will provide key support and aid in developing best practices for the department. Able to coordinate and effectively communicate with other staff, managers, directors, and senior leadership. The job role will be authorized to intervene with any safety and security related issue.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates at Monthly Safety Committee meetings.
  • Coordinates and maintains hospital security and badge systems.
  • Reviews accidents and incidents occurring to employees.
  • Reviews accidents and incidents occurring to patients, visitors, and others, reported by each department or individual.
  • Carefully analyzes reports from accident investigations to ascertain causes. 
  • Reviews and discusses inspectors' periodic reports of conditions to prevent similar accidents in the future.
  • Reviews and recommends continued training and education of employees in safe and efficient work methods.
  • Includes in the agenda other business to be submitted to the committee.
  • Assigns membership to the Safety Committee.
  • Coordinates the safety/security programs to ensure a safe environment consistent with regulatory, environmental, and hospital requirements and needs.
  • Functions as safety and security coordinator at all levels of the organization throughout the health system.
  • Recommends and assists in coordinating various components of the safety plan, I.e., Life safety/utility safety, emergency preparedness/security, accident prevention/general safety and risk management/medical equipment.
  • Promotes the institutional mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives by formulating plans, procedures, and objectives for safety and security plans.
  • Conduct and performs loss of assets investigations
  • Coordinates all matters involving parking.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of relevant work expierence and certification/education.

 

Education Desired:

Law Enforcement, SafetyManagement, Business or related to safety and security.

 

Experience Desired:
Safety/Security, or any combination of education, training, or experience.
