Overview

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT,  is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! Responsibilities include maintaining air handling units, boilers, plumbing & electrical systems throughout the hospital as well as handling any maintenance problems and construction projects when necessary.

 

This is a Full-Time position (PT available).

 

Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Temporary needs with day and evening shift availability. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.

Responsibilities

Works under the direction & supervision of the Facilities Supervisor.  Carries out tasks such as basic plumbing and electrical system maintenance, boiler system checks and preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems.  General maintenance shall be a crucial part of this role to include, but not be limited to patching and painting, basic woodworking, various grounds maintenance tasks, etc.  Shall maintain Compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care. Shall have a valid VT driver's license with a clean driving record. Lives in the service area and must be in a thirty minute response radius for on call requirement.

  • Takes Call on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

License / Certification:

Valid driver’s license


Education:

High School or vocational school graduate.

 

Experience:

3-5 years of general maintenance experience in hospital, school, construction, or other institutional setting, desired.


Skills:

Ability to work/handle power tools, an eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of Federal/State/Local building codes, verbal and written communication skills & ability to follow directions.  Computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Internet Explorer preferred.
