We currently seeking a Surgical Scheduler to join our dynamic team in our Waterbury Office.
Our Orthopaedic Surgical Scheduler is a clerical staff in the medical or health care sector whose primary responsibility is to ensure, organize, and maintain an active accurate, and operational surgery schedule.
Surgical Schedulers arrange the logistics of patient procedures, setting the time and venue, inclusive of the operating room, outpatient department and Radiology by taking care of paperwork and other administrative requirements.
They serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff throughout the entire process, which covers pre-operative testing, authorizations for health insurance, the procedure itself, and follow-up appointments. All throughout, Surgical Schedulers communicate with patients and their families to ensure that they’re well informed and prepared.
This is a Full-Time position (PT options available).

Education Required:
High School degree or equivalent.
Education Desired
Computer and or business courses beyond the high school level.
Experience Required:
One to two years of clerical or technical experience in a hospital setting or related field. Experience using a computer for data entry, scheduling or equivalent work type.
Experience Desired:
Experience using scheduling software. Multiple line telephone customer support experience. Experience in front line customer support. Health care/Technician experience supporting the clinic work flow, or LNA experience.
Skill Required:
Excellent customer service, communication, computer, and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team supporting multiple professionals and other co workers while following established department procedures, hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
