Overview

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of a Laboratory Aide/Coordinator. The Laboratory Clinical Coordinator helps to coordinate all patients presenting to the laboratory for blood draws. Organizes and facilitates clerical administrative duties including answering the phone to coordinate referrals and results between all outpatient referring offices. Assists in maintaining efficient patient workflow.  Enters diagnostic coding accurately for Medical Necessity Determination and billing.  Maintains department records and supplies.

 

The laboratory clinical Coordinator is an integral in arranging for the smooth flow of patients into outpatient services. This position communicates directly with staff, patients, and providers to ensure a positive experience for patients.

 

This position is responsible for the collection and validation of accurate referring providers on referrals, communication with physicians’ offices as needed and all requests via phone and zoom chat.  Compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

 

This is a Full-Time position (PT available).

Qualifications

Education Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

Experience Required:

1+ year of experience working in a healthcare setting (administrative assistant, scheduler, etc)

 

Education Desired:

Post-high school education (Associate degree in business, Secretarial Science, etc)

 

Experience Desired:

Previous phlebotomy experience
