Overview

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is looking for a Volunteer Services Coordinator to join our team! The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of a robust and engaging Volunteer Program for Copley Hospital. The Volunteer Coordinator will source, recruit, orient, and train new adult and junior volunteers. 

 

This position is Full-Time (PT available).

 

Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.

 

Compensation: $29-34/hour.

 

The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Copley’s Volunteer Program
  • Source, recruit, orient, and train new adult and junior volunteers
  • Promote Copley’s Volunteer Program through articles, outreach, presentations, social media, website, etc.
  • Provide in-service training for existing volunteers
  • Oversee the scheduling and staffing of all volunteer positions within the hospital
  • Create and manage the Volunteer database and track volunteer hours for hospital recognition, the Retired Volunteer Service Program (RVSP), and school community service programs
  • Engage community groups and school guidance counselors to solicit volunteers
  • Work with Department Leaders to develop volunteer positions
  • Ensure Volunteers are satisfied by creating a healthy and rewarding working environment
  • Evaluate Volunteers’ work and provide constructive feedback
  • Organize recognition for Volunteers during National Volunteer Week
  • Plan annual volunteer recognition banquet and awards program
  • Serve as a liaison between the Hospital and the Auxiliary
  • Attend Auxiliary Board Meetings
  • Participate in both Auxiliary and Hospital fund raising events
  • Assist the Development and Marketing Department with community relations activities
  • Attend Hospital Leadership Meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma - Required
  • BA/BS in relevant field (Healthcare, Human Services, Organizational Leadership) - Desired
