Overview

Nestled in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, our small critical access hospital serves the Stowe/Morrisville region and offers an exceptional four-season lifestyle with outdoor recreation, vibrant communities, and a strong sense of purpose. Our clinical laboratory is highly active for a hospital of our size and staffed by dedicated, skilled generalists who take pride in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We work closely with our local primary care practices, fostering strong relationships that support continuity and collaboration across care settings.

This Laboratory Director position will offer a thoughtful crossover period for mentorship, continuity, and knowledge transfer. The incoming Director will join an established leadership structure that includes a supervisor and leads, providing a supportive framework to help manage daily operations, guide staff, and advance departmental goals. The hospital is committed to investing in and maintaining state-of-the-art instrumentation and technology, ensuring staff have the tools needed to deliver accurate, timely results to support best practices in diagnostics and quality.

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented leader who is passionate about team development and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys leading people, building morale, strengthening culture, and continuing to grow a solid foundation to move the laboratory forward. This is a unique opportunity for a leader who values collaboration, stability, and community impact — and who is excited to shape the future of a busy, essential lab service while enjoying the unmatched quality of life Vermont has to offer.

This is a Full-Time position (PT options available).
